Karate, Kung Fu, or Taekwando?

We’re thinking of putting the kids in Karate or something similar. I know that Evan is too young right now, but Gabby is anxious to get started. What do you think? Offer some suggestions on types of Martial Arts that are good for kids (and grown ups) to learn together.

My favorite is Kung Fu, but that’s because I watched too much T.V. as a kid.

    My vote is for Kung-Fu!

I took karate for two years. It not  only teaches a certain form of fighting and self defence but also self control and discretion. It promotes sportsmanship and honor. I don’t know about the other forms from my own experience but I’m sure their worth looking into. I’m sure they incorporate some of the same attributes.

I also vote Kung fu but for the same reason, perhaps karate for gabby and Kung fu for Evan then when they are grown we can hold a martial arts tournament pitting the 2 styles against one another in friendly combat. Could be pretty sweet.
